The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Human Decision-Making. This research examines the multifaceted ways artificial intelligence influences human decision-making processes across various domains. As AI systems become increasingly integrated into daily life and professional environments, understanding their cognitive and behavioural impacts becomes critical. AI assistance fundamentally alters cognitive workflows, shifting decision-making from generation and refinement processes to verification and validation approaches. This change can lead to cognitive decline and a reduction in analytical thinking skills over time. In healthcare, business, and other professional domains, AI enhances efficiency and accuracy but risks creating over-dependence that undermines human expertise. The research concludes that effective human-AI collaboration requires careful system design that maintains human agency, provides appropriate transparency.
