Abstract

RideSmart is a mobile application designed to connect riders who need transportation with users willing to offer rides, providing a cost-effective and convenient alternative to commercial ride-sharing platforms. The system is developed using Flutter for cross-platform mobile development and Firebase for backend services such as authentication, Firestore database, and cloud storage. Key functionalities include user registration, login authentication, ride request submission, ride offering, browsing available rides, and viewing ride history. Mutual request and offer acceptance workflows along with location-based features enhance usability and reliability. The experimental implementation demonstrates that RideSmart is scalable, secure, and user-friendly, making it suitable for student communities and urban commuters seeking affordable and efficient travel solutions.
