Aquaponics is a sustainable agricultural technique which integrates the aquaculture where humans raise fish in a small scale and also in large scale and along with the hydroponics which is growing plants without the presence and the use of the soil to form a symbiotic system. While offering numerous benefits, and also by maintaining optimal conditions for both aquatic and plant life is very challenging due to the need for continuous and real time monitoring and control of environmental factors, so that to address this problem,Our project introduces an IoT-Based Aquaponics Monitoring System which is basically a solution designed to address these challenges by integrating advanced technology for automation, real-time data collection, and predictive analysis.
The system utilizes various sensors to monitor critical parameters such as water pH, temperature, light intensity, dissolved oxygen, ammonia levels, nutrient concentrations, and soil moisture. A microcontroller (Arduino/ESP32) processes the data, activating actuators like pumps, aerators, and nutrient dispensers when necessary. The collected data is transmitted to a cloud platform, allowing real-time visualization, remote access, and alert generation through an interactive dashboard , and it is also designed to be user friendly for all the groups.
