Nursing students often experience high levels of academic stress due to heavy coursework, clinical responsibilities, and performance expectations. Excessive stress adversely affects emotional well-being, leading to burnout, anxiety, and reduced academic performance. Mindfulness meditation, an evidence-based practice that enhances present-moment awareness and emotional regulation, has been increasingly applied in health education to reduce stress and promote well-being. This paper explores the impact of mindfulness meditation on academic stress and emotional well-being among nursing students. Drawing upon psychological and educational theories, the study highlights how mindfulness supports coping mechanisms, reduces stress appraisal, and improves resilience. Findings from existing research suggest that mindfulness practices significantly lower perceived stress and enhance positive emotional states among nursing students, making it a valuable pedagogical and therapeutic tool in nursing education.
