AI AssistantAbstract
This paper introduces Lumina, a voice assistant that you can take apart and rebuild. Lumina doesn't need the internet and uses artificial intelligence. It was made using Python to automatically do things on a Windows computer. Lumina allows people to use their voice to manage music and videos, open programs, adjust the sound, and search online. In contrast to cloud-reliant commercial assistants, Lumina ensures full user privacy by operating entirely on-device, eliminating the risk of data leaks and latency from network dependencies. The system is composed of distinct modules—including speech recognition, natural language command parsing, text-to-speech synthesis, and action execution—allowing for easy customization and future scalability. Tests show that Lumina understands your instructions more than 89% of the time. It also replies fast and doesn't use much computer power, so you can keep it running constantly. The study also compares Lumina to other similar systems.
Lumina is better because it keeps your information private, works even without the internet, and lets you add your own features.. The goal for Lumina is to have it work on more types of computers. It will also become better at understanding language, which will make conversations feel more real. Also, users will be able to make their own skills to automatically do things on their computers for work or personal reasons.
