This study investigates impact on teenagers’ social media habits on their mental health. Based on insights from multiple scholarly works, it considers how online activity affects areas such as school performance, self-image, confidence, emotional well-being, and exposure to cyberbullying. The results suggest that when social media is used in moderation and for constructive purposes, it can support learning and peer connections. However, spending long hours online without regulation is linked to poor academic outcomes, disrupted sleep, and increased risks of anxiety and depression.
