Abstract

This descriptive study investigates the study habits of undergraduate students in Pune University to determine their learning approaches, time management strategies, and academic preparation techniques. A sample of 90 undergraduate students from different fields was surveyed through a structured questionnaire and standardized study habits inventory. The study examines trends in daily study habits, use of resources, learning styles, and determinants of study efficiency. Findings show that students exhibit heterogeneous study strategies, with large differences corresponding to academic year, field of study, and residency status. The findings are indicative of moderate study habit scores in general, with specific areas of weakness in consistent planning and time management. The study supplies baseline information on undergraduate study habits and provides suggestions for the construction of evidence-based academic support interventions to improve student learning outcomes at the university level.
