Resume Builder : An online platform designed to help users create professional, well-structured resumes quickly and efficiently

Abstract

In the digital era, the job market has become increasingly competitive, and a professionally designed resume plays a pivotal role in securing employment opportunities. However, many job seekers, especially fresh graduates and individuals with limited technical expertise, face significant challenges in creating resumes that effectively showcase their qualifications, skills, and experiences in a professional format. Traditional methods—such as manually designing resumes using word processors or relying on static templates—often result in inconsistent formatting, overlooked details, and lack of customization. To address these challenges, this research proposes the design and development of a Resume Builder Website, a web-based application that automates the resume creation process through an intuitive, user-friendly interface.The proposed system enables users to input their personal, academic, and professional information into structured forms, which is then processed and dynamically converted into a well-structured, visually appealing resume. By integrating technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, the platform ensures seamless data handling, secure storage, and efficient resume generation. Additionally, users can choose from multiple professional templates and export their resumes in various formats such as PDF or Word, making the platform adaptable to different job application requirements. This research also highlights the importance of automation in resume building, emphasizing how structured data entry, predefined templates, and consistent formatting can significantly reduce the time and effort involved while improving the overall quality and effectiveness of resumes. Furthermore, the system is designed with scalability and future enhancements in mind, including potential integration of artificial intelligence (AI) for content optimization, keyword recommendations for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and personalized suggestions based on job roles. The results of the study demonstrate that the Resume Builder Website not only simplifies the resume creation process but also empowers users to present themselves more effectively in the job market. By combining usability, customization, and automation, the platform provides a comprehensive solution for job seekers, bridging the gap between manual resume design and professional presentation standards.
