Abstract

This research paper presents a comprehensive plan for evaluating the role of an intelligent healthcare assistant implemented via WhatsApp Chatbot and powered by Artificial Intelligence. While previous healthcare communication systems have relied on manual or rule-based approaches, this system offers a context-aware assistant capable of understanding and responding to patient queries naturally. This study investigates whether the healthcare assistant improves patient accessibility, reduces administrative workload, enhances data security, and elevates user satisfaction. To achieve these goals, a combination of controlled lab experiments with participants and real-world deployment in clinical environments was used. Key metrics such as response accuracy, interaction time, and patient trust levels were analyzed. Additionally, privacy-preserving mechanisms were integrated to ensure sensitive health information is protected during interactions. Our study highlights both the advantages of AI-powered healthcare communication and potential risks, including overdependence and data privacy concerns. The paper concludes by offering practical recommendations for the safe and effective deployment of AI chatbots in healthcare settings.
