This systematic literature review examines the relationship between employee technology adoption and workplace digitalization (WD), focusing on how digital transformation reshapes organizational processes and employee adaptation. Guided by the PRISMA protocol, studies from 2015–2025 across IEEE Xplore, PsycNet, and Google Scholar were analyzed. Findings show that human resource management practices, continuous training, and managerial involvement are vital in fostering employee readiness and engagement. While digitalization enhances efficiency, agility, and data-driven decision-making, it faces barriers such as low digital literacy, resistance to change, and concerns about job security and data privacy. Resistance is shaped by both technological complexity and organizational culture. The review highlights that effective digital transformation requires strong change management, continuous employee training and upskilling, and implementation of human-centered strategies that prioritize communication and employee support.
