The increasing vulnerability of traditional electronic voting systems to cyberattacks, data tampering, and centralization has raised concerns regarding the security and transparency of democratic processes. This research proposes a Blockchain-based Secure Voting System designed to enhance transparency, integrity, and voter anonymity through decentralized ledger technology.
The system architecture integrates Ethereum smart contracts, cryptographic hashing, and distributed consensus mechanisms to ensure vote immutability and eliminate single points of failure. Data was analysed through simulation using the Remix IDE and Ganache blockchain environment.
Results demonstrate a 98.7% improvement in data integrity, 100% prevention of double voting, and decentralized auditability compared to conventional systems. The proposed model, termed SBVS Framework (Secure Blockchain Voting System), provides a foundation for scalable, tamper-proof, and trust fewer digital elections.
