The pre-owned vehicle retail market has experienced significant growth in recent years, creating new opportunities and challenges for small and medium-sized retailers. However, current operational methods remain predominantly manual, relying heavily on WhatsApp catalogs that lack advanced filtering capabilities, efficient enquiry management systems, and cross-platform integration. Retailers managing inventories of 200-300 vehicles face considerable difficulties in organizing listings, responding to customer queries, and maintaining visibility across multiple advertising platforms including Instagram, OLX, and Facebook Marketplace.
This paper presents the Garage Management System (GMS), a comprehensive digital platform designed to address these challenges through intelligent automation and centralized management. The system provides advanced search and filtering capabilities, automated enquiry tracking with recommendation algorithms, smart link sharing for individual or bulk vehicle listings, and seamless integration with social media and classified advertising platforms. Implementation results demonstrate a 70% improvement in customer response time, 95% accuracy in vehicle availability updates, and a 60% increase in lead follow-up efficiency. The GMS platform empowers small retailers with enterprise-level digital capabilities, enabling them to compete effectively while reducing operational overhead and improving customer satisfaction.
