Abstract

The rapid increase in global waste generation has emerged as a significant  environmental challenge, necessitating effective waste management  strategies. Recycling, a key component of sustainable waste management,  not only reduces landfill burden but also conserves natural resources and
minimizes environmental pollution. This study explores general waste  recycling practices, focusing on recommendations for efficient segregation,  collection, and processing of various waste types, including plastics, paper,  metals, and organic matter. It highlights the application of innovative
technologies, such as mechanical recycling, composting, and waste-toenergy conversion, to optimize resource recovery. Additionally, the study  emphasizes the importance of public awareness, policy frameworks, and  industrial collaboration to enhance recycling rates.
