rental managementAbstract
The RentUp project presents a simplified car rental management system designed using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, with data persistence achieved through the browser’s localStorage. The system enables functionalities such as user registration, car booking, booking management, and basic billing, while remaining entirely client-side. By leveraging localStorage, users can interact with the application without requiring backend support, making it lightweight and suitable for academic and prototype-level projects. Key features include prevention of duplicate bookings, responsive design for better user experience, and easy management of the fleet by an administrator. Although the system currently lacks advanced modules like a payment gateway or server-based synchronization, it lays the foundation for scalable enhancements in the future. The project demonstrates how modern frontend frameworks can be applied to solve real-world problems in a simplified yet effective manner.
