The urgent demand for environmentally responsible infrastructure has brought forward the concept of Green Project Management (GPM), which integrates sustainability principles into traditional project execution models. Unlike conventional frameworks that prioritize cost, time, and scope, GPM emphasizes ecological balance, resource optimization, and long-term social impact. This paper proposes a Green Project Management Framework tailored for infrastructure development, designed to incorporate measurable sustainability metrics across all project phases initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. The framework systematically embeds environmental considerations, including carbon footprint assessment, waste minimization, and the use of renewable resources. It also introduces quantifiable sustainability indicators such as energy efficiency ratios, material recovery rates, and carbon intensity per output unit. By conducting comparative evaluations of traditional versus green-managed projects, this research identifies tangible improvements in performance and sustainability outcomes. The results demonstrate that implementing GPM leads to a 25% increase in resource efficiency, an 18% reduction in project-related greenhouse emissions, and improved stakeholder satisfaction by integrating transparency and accountability measures. Overall, the framework provides a scalable roadmap for policymakers, engineers, and project managers seeking to align infrastructure growth with global sustainability standards such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This study concludes that embedding sustainability within project management is not only environmentally essential but also economically beneficial in the long term.
