Applied Science Research Paper Publication at IJSCI
Applied science connects scientific principles to real problems. IJSCI’s scope includes applied sciences and interdisciplinary research alongside engineering and computing. This page explains which subjects authors usually submit, how to frame an applied paper and what to confirm before you submit.
Subjects covered
| Area | Example topics |
|---|---|
| Physics | Materials behaviour, optics, energy devices, measurement methods |
| Chemistry | Analytical methods, catalysis, polymers, green processes |
| Mathematics | Modelling, optimisation, numerical methods, statistics |
| Environmental science | Water and air quality, waste management, sustainability studies |
| Biotechnology | Bioprocesses, microbial applications, bio-based materials |
| Interdisciplinary work | Projects that combine science with engineering or computing |
The examples are illustrations, not a complete list. The Aims & Scope page is the authority. If your topic sits on a boundary, email a title and abstract to editor@ijsci.com before submitting.
How to frame an applied science paper
Reviewers of applied work look for a real problem, a sound method and evidence that the result matters in practice. State all three early.
- Define the practical problem and who is affected by it.
- Explain why existing approaches are not enough.
- Describe your method with conditions, materials and parameters.
- Validate the result against a baseline, a standard or earlier work.
- Discuss limits, such as scale, cost, safety or the conditions under which results hold.
Data, methods and reproducibility
Applied claims need evidence that others can check. Report sample sizes, instruments, software versions, calibration and uncertainty. Present data in tables or figures with units and, where appropriate, error bars or confidence intervals. Say clearly what was measured and what was calculated or simulated.
Ethics, safety and originality
Work involving human participants, animals, field sites or hazardous materials needs the appropriate approvals and safety statements. Read the journal’s research and publication ethics page and plagiarism policy before you submit, and declare any funding or conflicts of interest.
Publication fees and next steps
Fees are per accepted article: ₹499 without DOI or ₹699 with DOI for Indian authors, and $20 with DOI for international authors, paid after acceptance. See the article processing charges page for the current details.
