Research Paper Publication with DOI at IJSCI
A DOI gives your article a permanent, citable link. Many authors want one, and some institutions ask for it. This page explains what a DOI is, what it does and does not prove, and which IJSCI options include it. Fees are per accepted article and are paid after acceptance.
What is a DOI?
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a unique, persistent code attached to a published article. It resolves to the article’s page through a stable link, even if the journal website changes its address. It is used in reference lists, in databases and when sharing a paper.
IJSCI registers DOIs through Crossref under the prefix 10.70849/ijsci. DOI information for an individual article is shown on its published page.
IJSCI options with and without DOI
| Author and option | Fee | DOI |
|---|---|---|
| Indian authors, without DOI | ₹499 | Not included |
| Indian authors, with DOI | ₹699 | Included |
| International authors | $20 USD | Included |
Confirm the option that applies to your manuscript on the article processing charges page before paying, and follow the payment instructions sent after acceptance.
What a DOI does, and what it does not do
A DOI makes an article easy to find, link and cite. It does not decide quality, and it is not the same as indexing.
- A DOI does not guarantee that the article will be indexed in any database.
- A DOI does not guarantee citations or any particular ranking.
- A DOI does not mean that an institution or funder will accept the journal.
- A DOI does not replace peer review or acceptance by the editors.
If your institution requires a specific database or list, check the journal’s status in that source yourself.
Do you need a DOI?
Choose the option with DOI if your institution, funder or supervisor asks for it, if you want a permanent link for your CV, repository or reference lists, or if you expect others to cite the paper. If none of these applies, the option without DOI may be enough. The decision is yours; ask the editorial office if you are unsure.
After publication: check your DOI
- Open the DOI link from your article’s page and confirm that it resolves.
- Check that the title, author names, journal and year are correct.
- Search the DOI or ISSN through Crossref to see that the record appears.
- Report any error to editor@ijsci.com with your paper ID.
Records can take some time to appear in external systems, so allow a reasonable interval before concluding that something is missing.
